about

THE SHOW

Megacities, from afar or up close, ignite the same thrill as the first encounter. The allure of dazzling city lights promises enchantment and mystery. Financial districts, empty yet illuminated, nightclubs pulsating with intoxication, and racecourses capturing dreams… Is everything truly “in perfect ordered”?
Having lived across two financial powerhouses, Beijing and Hong Kong, Plastered 8 established significance in the pop art scene in Beijing as a creative and streetwear brand for 18 years. Now, he is turning his attention to Hong Kong. Known for his humourous yet incisive visions on various matters in the metropolis, Plastered 8 manifests in his pop art his reflections on what lies behind the glittering façade of his surroundings.

I $ HK, Johnson-Hill’s debut solo show in the heart of the CBD!

Peering through the urban sprawl, dissecting every facet of life lived in these cities running perfectly and orderly, Plastered 8 through his artistry offers us a magnifying glass for the urban experience, urging us to open our eyes and question the seemingly ‘perfect order’ that governs our lives.

Be there, or be square.
