ABOUT THE SHOW:

Young Soy Gallery is proud to present DELIRIUM, a group exhibition featuring Riya Chandiramani, Russ Rubin, and Stern Rockwell.

Stern Rockwell in his studio, inspecting his pieces before Delirium.

Whether transcending through Rubin’s portals to alternate dimensions, seeking familiarity with Rockwell’s surreal human characters, or worshipping Chandiramani’s fierce goddesses, Delirium explores not merely what, but how each artist articulates their respective disturbed states.

Russ Rubin’s line up for Delirium in the exotic woods of New Jersey.

Delirium Teaser what to expect from Chandiramni, Rubin and Rockwell.

The term ‘delirium’ has two definitions, and in this case, both are applied. For the artists, their works are a mechanism and the release of a disturbed state of mind, while for the viewer they are wild excitement and doses of ecstasy. While this can apply to a great deal in the context of art history, it is viciously appropriate for this exhibition considering the subject matter of each artist, and the overarching otherworldly aesthetic language.

It is difficult to not get allured by the synergy between each artist and their works, so come experience what it feels like to be delirious yourself.
