TYLER JACKSON
PRITCHARD
Tyler Jackson Pritchard (tjp) is a multidisciplinary visual artist known for his emotionally charged paintings and photography. While he floats between mediums and visual languages we find a marauding enigmatic intensity and rhythm throughout his work. This stems from his initial artistic expression playing in the American punk rock and metal scenes. We also see consistent themes of juxtaposition, altered perspective and a bypass of traditional representation to cut straight to the deeper emotional content of his subjects. His work speaks to the underlying psychological energies that drive us on a fundamental level and therefore influence society and culture holistically.
Spending much of his adult life in Hong Kong and showing throughout the world he currently works from Los Angeles.
