Introducing
JEROME LEUNG
Jerome Leung (b. 2002) is an emerging contemporary artist and journalism student whose artistic journey is marked by a deep fascination with human solitude and modern relationships.
Primarily working with acrylic on canvas, and occasionally exploring digital mediums, Jerome’s thought-provoking pieces feature characters with the absence of mouths, symbolising the inherent challenges of expressing emotions in a society of impatience and vulnerability. Through using vibrant colours, quick brushstrokes and geometric shapes, Leung conveys in his works the longing for emotional fulfilment.
Driven by a passion for observing human connections induced by his journalistic background, Jerome has embarked on an evocative series of paintings that delve into the complexities and nuances of contemporary relationships.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, his style and palette are also inextricably linked to the city’s nostalgic allure, adding a unique touch to his work.
