Celine Lam (b.1999) is a mixed media artist from Hong Kong. She studied painting at Rhode Island School of Design with minors in Theory and History of Art and Design, and Drawing. Her practice revolves around politics, societal oppressions and relationships. Her works intend to draw attention to social problems, political incidents, while connecting micro and macro ideas. Bamboo, skeletons, and gradient stripes often appear in her works as symbols of oppression, fatigues, hopelessness, and individualities in the contemporary world. Lam had previously exhibited in New York, Shanghai, and Providence.
